Hydrofera Blue READY Antibacterial Foam Dressing
Hydrofera Blue READY Foam Dressings protect wounds against infection by utilizing two organic pigments, methylene blue and gentian violet, and seals them in open-celled polyurethane foam (PU). This combination prevents the additional application of an antibiotic ointment, requires no additional hydration, and uses ethylene oxide to block out bacteria, fungi, and mold spores. A non-cytotoxic dressing that has broad-spectrum antibacterial properties that assist in managing moisture, creating an ideal healing environment.

How to Use Hydrofera Blue READY Antibacterial Foam Dressing:
- Cleanse the wound following established procedures. Dry the periwound tissue carefully.
- Select the appropriate dressing size to cover the entire wound. Cut the dressing if needed for placement on specific areas.
- Apply the dull side down and the shiny side facing up. Secure the material with a bandage, tape, or compression wrap.
Removal:
Hydrofera Blue READY can be left in place for up to 7 days, depending on the exudate and clinical conditions of the wound. The dressing should be changed if it turns white.
Contraindications:
- Not indicated for third-degree burns
- Should not be used on individuals sensitive to or who have had an allergic reaction to the dressing or its components
- Do not reuse dressing
